BREASTPLATE STRIPS

These are cut from 5/6 ounce Tooling Leather. The are 1/16-3/32" thick. The Choker Spacers are about 5/16" wide. The 3 hole are 1" long and the 4 hole are 1¼" long. The Breastplate Strips are 3/8" wide by 24" long with 56 holes spaced 7/16" apart. They can be cut down to any length and number of holes you decide on. The Tooling or Vegetable Tanned Leather they are cut from can be dyed or stained any color. The Natural color they come in is a new saddle color. These will save you some work. COWRIE SHELLS

Cowries are small mollusks native to the warm waters of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Cowrie Shells have been and still are used extensively for decoration by many cultures around the world. Cowries have been used as currency in Africa and Asia until fairly recent times, particularly the so-called Money Cowrie.
Money Cowries are pale yellow. Ring Top Cowries are beige with a brown ring. The Purple Top Cowries look like a Ring Top with most of the shell purple. Beware of fake Purple Tops. These have been made by dying Ringtops. If you are vigilant, this fraud will stand out. Our Purple tops are, of course, real. All of the cowries we offer are natural color. Cowries are 3/4'-1" oval. The Ringtop Cowries are smaller, as shown in the photo. They are drilled at one end of the oval so they can be sewn on items and will dangle and move on clothing, regalia, and artifacts.

The Tahitian Pearl is an organic gem formed from the Black Lip Oyster or Pinctada margaritifera-cuminga. The oyster and pearl are indigenous to the blue lagoons of French Polynesia. It would take opening thousands of oysters just to find one all-natural Tahitian Pearl. This gives the Tahitian Pearl its mystique of being one of the world's rarest gems. These Shell Discs are made from are made from the Black Lip Oyster. They are beautiful mixtures of Iridescent Green, Purple, Blue, and Silver. These Black Lip Oyster Shell Discs are polished both sides. They are two hole drilled. These Black Lip Oyster Shell Discs are used extensively in Native American Arts and Crafts.

This Bundled horsehair comes in bundles with all the hair the same length. These are all natural colors, not dyed or bleached. The Tail Hair Bundles are 22"-26" and about 1 pound. These Whole green Abalone Shells are from the Pacific Coast of North America. These can be cut up and made into a range of decorative objects. Abalone is widely used for everything from jewelry to musical instruments. They are also used for smudging and even ashtrays. These Abalone Shells are about 6" in size.

DENTALIUM

The Dentalium or Tooth Shells are a mollusk from the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean. Dentalium Sheells are used extensively in Native American Craft work. These Dentalium Shells are 1"-1½" long, about 1/4" wide at the wide end and taper to about 1/16". They are hollow.

BELT STRIPS

We had a Belt Factory for 25 years. We finally decided to sell it. We wanted to devote all of our energy to helping our supplies customers.
We cut these belt strips from the same Double Shoulders we used in our Belt Factory. They are made in North America, they take a dye very consistently, and tool very well. These are cut the full length of the Double Shoulder and will run 48"-55" long.
The 5/16" or 3/8" strips can be used for Choker Strips or Breastplate Strips. You can use them for anything you want. If you want a size you don't see listed, let us know and we'll cut it for you.

We offer the scrap from our production of 1/8" lace. The lace is 36" plus and so is the scrap. There will also be edge pieces that are 3/4" to 1" wide. We package this lace scrap in 1/2# pound bags. This may seem pricey; there is a lot of lace in one of these bags.

We generate some scrap from our production of Deer and Elk Laces. We manufacture these items in all of our Deer and Elk colors so we're likely to have any or all of those colors available as scrap.
